Student Suruti Chinnadurai wins the Call for the Logo Design of the Project “Parma e l’Altrove”

Official Presentation of the Logo on September 16. Initiative carried out by the University of Parma with FAPE – University Funds for Public Engagement

Parma, September 1, 2025 – Suruti Chinnadurai, a student in Food Safety and Food Risk Management at the University of Parma, is the winner of the call “Un logo per l’Altrove”, launched to create the logo of the UniPR project “Parma e l’Altrove. Le Vie Antiche oggi”, carried out with FAPE – University Funds for Public Engagement.

The project “Parma e l’Altrove” aims to (re)connect places and people, past and present, memory and contemporary perceptions of living in Parma today, through a specific lens: the connections between knowledge, processes, and practices related to the ancient routes of Parma and its territory.

The goal is to open new directions of dialogue between people and the spaces of their daily lives, starting from the ancient routes and the city’s traditional practices linked to production, travel, and use. The project will explore the present everyday life of Parma’s inhabitants in relation to an ever-changing urban environment, where historically this Altrove intertwines with Parma through processes of production, preservation, distribution, and use.

Partners of the project “Parma e l’Altrove” include: Embassy of Mongolia in Italy; ASP Parma – Azienda di Servizi alla Persona of the Parma District; Intercultural Center of Parma and Province APS; Monumental Complex of the Pilotta; Municipality of Parma, Department of Culture and Tourism – Events and Exhibitions Office; Culture and Art Authority – Implementing Agency of the Government of Mongolia; Istituto delle Scienze Umane Albertina San Vitale; Museum of Natural Historiography – MUST of the University Museum System; naMec – Asian, Nomadic Cultures, Mobility and Environment Study Center – Mongolian Culture Center (interuniversity research center, University of Florence–University of Parma).

The logo will be officially presented during the project’s first public event, to be held on Tuesday, September 16 at 6:00 PM in Borgo Santa Brigida 5/A. On this occasion, there will be a conference-narration by David Bellatalla, Honor Professor at MUST University Mongolia and Cultural Ambassador of Mongolia in the World, titled Mongolia e i Mongoli attraverso le parole dei viaggiatori dall'antichità fino agli inizi del '900.
