Conference “Religion and Science” – October 28, 2025, 10:00 a.m. – Sala d’Ercole, Via San Gallo 10

On Tuesday, October 28, 2025, the Sala d’Ercole of the University of Florence will host an exceptional event: the conference “Religion and Science” by His Eminence Geshe Lharampa Javzandorj Dulamragchaa, 30th Khamba Nomun Khan, Supreme Abbot and spiritual head of the Gandantegchenling Monastery in Ulaanbaatar, the centre of Mongolian Buddhism.

The meeting in Florence will offer a unique opportunity to reflect on the dialogue between science and spirituality, two fields which, in the Khamba Lama’s vision, share the pursuit of truth and a responsibility toward knowledge and compassion.

The event is promoted by the Scientific and Organising Committee composed of Nadia Breda, Diego Cucinelli, and Isabella Gagliardi, with contributions to the discussion by Duccio Cavalieri, Chiara Ghidini, Cristiano Giometti, Paolo Liverani, Matteo Miele, Lorenzo Pubblici, Sabrina Tosi Cambini, and Aleksandra Wenta.
